Preference will be given to professors early in their careers, post-doctoral and doctoral students. Truly exceptional masters’ students in political science and scholars in closely related fields will also be considered. This program aims to provide basic training in three general areas of methodology: quantitative data analysis, qualitative data analysis, and research design and methods. A total of 2,389 people participated in the 2009 IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Santiago, Chile. The 21st triennial version of the event was held from July 12 to 16 at the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Members of IPSA research committees and individual members of IPSA from 70 countries organized over 600 panels, for a busy academic program that often included up to 35 simultaneous sessions. Thanks in great part to the success of the World Congress, IPSA’s membership has now reached over 3,500 individual members! IPSA is working hard to create even more opportunities for interaction and mutual benefit among our members. The participation of students in the 21st World Congress of Political Science reach to 26% .The figures on IPSA membership by age group dropped going from 54 to 46 in 2006 and, its further dropped to 42 in 2009, with a modal age for men and woman that has shifted from the 50-year-old bracket to the 30-year old bracket. As of May 15,2009, the average age for men was 44 and 39 for women. This is caused by the growing popularity of the discipline with the youth in regions like Latin America, Asia and Africa. The Association , with a mix of experienced scholars and younger academics , can thus look forward to an excellent future. (IPSA Triennial Report 2007-2009) . IAPSS its really proud with its cooperation with IPSA and to guide the involvement of younger academics in the development of political science. Soon you will enjoy the paper room, videos and photos of the 21st World Congress .
