Politikon is the flagship publication of the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS). It is recognized as one of the leading academic journals publishing the work of students from across the fields of political science and international relations. Founded in 2001, the journal is published four times a year and distributed online to almost 1,000 IAPSS members in more than 50 countries on every continent, as well as outside the IAPSS network.
Politikon publishes high quality research papers of undergraduate and graduate students from around the world, ensured by a double blind peer-review process, handled primarily by PhD candidates, Post-doctoral students and young researchers.
Politikon benefits from IAPSS’s partnerships with other established political science associations – including the International Political Science Association (IPSA), the International Studies Association (ISA) and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) – with Politikon authors being invited to attend and present their research at major conferences and seminars. Events where Politikon authors have been invited include the 2006 IPSA Congress in Fukuoka, 2006 ISA Annual Convention in San Diego, 2007 ISA Annual Convention in Chicago, 2009 IPSA Congress in Santiago, 2010 ISA Annual Convention, 2011 ECPR Annual Conference in Berlin, 2012 and 2014 European Social Science and History Conference, 2014 ECPR Graduate Conference or the 2014 IPSA Congress in Montreal.
